FACE THE COLD

When was the last time you told someone how you felt? And I don't mean giving your point of view on something that has occurred. No, I am talking about really expressing how you feel, what is going on in your head or heart.
every single person on this beautiful planet is thinking. This means there is a never ending stream of thoughts flowing all over the world every second of every day. Everybody thinks and everybody feels. Everybody. However, not many of us dare to express these thoughts and feelings. I cannot understand this. Why is it that we are afraid of something so common? We chose to ignore ourselves out of fear for what? Rejection? We are afraid to be rejected by someone else so we decide to just do it ourselves before they even get the chance?
We are stuck. We are all stuck in our little heads, surrounded by our familiar thoughts. We feel save here from the outside world. The outside world where everything is cold because frozen hearts are out there doing whatever they want. They are judging, bullying and making nasty comments. However, they are not the only ones out there. There are some warm hearts too. They have put on their coats of friendly thoughts and have faced the cold outside world. One friendly thought at a time, they are making it into a better place for all the other warm hearts taking shelter inside. They are building snowmen and putting lights in trees, hoping that when the other warm hearts look out of their windows and see how wonderful the cold can be they might want to come outside too.
What I am trying to say is that you might feel like your thoughts or feelings don’t matter. You might feel as if when you express yourself you are bothering someone else with it. However, there is a great possibility that you are not the only one feeling this way. And, by speaking up you might help someone who feels the exact same way as you do.
So, speak up! Let the cold outside world know what is going on in that beautiful head of yours. Make this world a better place. Make it into a place where warm hearts don’t have to shiver anymore.

xx
