Visiting Ideas

Do you know that little mark you get after being pinched? It doesn’t stay long. It just visits you for a while. Ideas tend to visit me in a similar way. They pop in wave around, do a silly dance and leave again. Unfortunately, they might never return. They don’t have to of course. Because, when I concentrate on my tiny visitor, very quickly other ideas start to flutter around it in chaos creating a blob, slightly bigger than the former mark. Then, other ideas start to flutter around the other ideas, creating a slightly bigger blob. As the blob grows, the idea grows. It becomes more specific. Its edges start to take form. It becomes something. A character, a place, a sequence of events,.. anything.
